Do you ever hear yourself say, “I need to work out my unresolved shit (issues) so that I am not such a nutcase!”
I hope not for you. And, I know that saying something like this is real for many women — especially when under stress.
When anxiety spins out making you worried that something won’t go right, you can’t discern what is real and what is your anxiety. The struggle makes our 40 hour work week feel like 70.
At this stage, you carry extra weight in your chest and your heart starts racing at the thought of your situation. The idea of living a more nourishing life seems far away.
I want you to choose right now to be kinder to yourself. Pause. What if this voice was the same voice that wanted ice cream all day? Would you react on demand?
Instead, ask yourself, “How could I be kinder with myself right now, without giving into ice cream, or in this case, the urge to fix yourself?” You don’t need to be “fixed,” by the way. You may be benefit instead from some self compassion, insight, tips.
I also know this to be true: regular places to hold your heart, like a friendship or coaching are best held in a rhythm. Your mind and heart calm down when there is a specific place to rest a heart or challenge a busy mind, similar to your body feeling energized from regular trips to the gym. Maybe you could schedule regular calls with a friend or a time to journal for yourself that is non negotiable.
