Gratitude
Much has been written about the positive effects of bringing gratitude into a daily practice. Research shows that we begin to find our way towards more optimism and joy when we stop to consider the good in our lives.
Today’s prompt is to pause right now and imagine giving your life a compliment.
“I love the way my life has given me_______________________. I am grateful.”
“I am grateful for ________ in my life.”
If you are not in the mood for gratitude right now, you can try this:
“I am willing to consider that I might be grateful for_________.” Open yourself to the possibility of gratitude. Even when we are grumpy, this approach to gratitude casts light on our mood.
