Kirsten helps driven women that are busy keeping it all together to feel more nourished inside their work, relationships and wellbeing. Her lessons from childhood, corporate journey and motherhood weave together to inform her passion for helping women to birth a vision they hold for themselves.
As a child, nature was a strong force in Kirsten’s life. She was drawn to create imaginary lands in the outdoors and spent hours in the woods and river near her home. As she matured, the natural world became a place of spiritual solitude and grounding.
When she was a teenager, she told her church minister that she didn’t know if she believed all the stories of the Bible but that she did believe in a spirituality that connected humans with nature. She said that she believed God was an energy that kept the rivers flowing and human hearts beating. The minister let her be confirmed in the church but she eventually stopped attending because she got more value when she explored her own connection with spirit and reading texts from various spiritual traditions.
Even as a teen, she would take long, solo drives through the Rockies. The vastness of the mountains awakened her connection to the Earth, re-grounded her, and formed the spirituality that she lives by today.
In 1999, Kirsten made a leap to New Zealand with her husband (a New Zealander himself) to open an office for an international corporation and eventually raise a family there. Since Kirsten valued adventure in life, the chance to move away from USA seemed a natural progression in her journey.
However, it was a pivotal point in her life because she was not prepared for the ways she would feel pulled away from her own sense of self while living long term in a country where she felt on the outside culturally.
In 2012, when she was a mother of young children and feeling emotionally and spiritually lost, she flew to California to embark on a solo quest in nature. Alone, on the land, with a sleeping bag, trail mix and water for 3 days and 3 nights, Kirsten reclaimed the parts of her that she had left behind in America. The imposed structure of a sitting in one spot in the woods, away from society’s comforts, drew up all of her mind’s questions and fears to face. Eventually, the noise in her mind fell away and she found a deep connection with the spirit of the land that she was born and a renewed purpose to bring back to New Zealand. In her solitude, she found clarity in a dream that guided her career towards coaching with a spiritual perspective.
Since then, Kirsten looks at life as a journey that ebbs and flows with layers of awakening. Birthing, holding onto oneself and then letting go and starting again. She has developed a regular spiritual practice to keep her aligned with what matters.
Childhood therapy, years of learning from other teachers, and diving into many transformations as an adult impact the way that Kirsten empowers other women to grow and ground in their life. She helps others birth a vision for themselves and use mind, body, spirit tools to stay their course.
